Being a Mexican cuisine restaurant in Southern California, Lupe’s Mexican Eatery is intimately tied to the Baja Mexican culture and the overall California beach life. Integrating beach Baja Mex feel with Southern California cantina qualities, we created a fun and vibrant project that caters to a wide variety of guests. The architectural design and branding reflects the restaurant's location and unique experience. By pulling cues from the textures and materials of Baja, the clean and modern lines of high-design, and a touch of classy good taste, we bring you Lupe's Mexican Eatery.
Employing a unifying overhead system, the “ambiance and zoning” ceilings create a comfortable space that is simple for guests to navigate.
The abstracted cultural elements, although site specific, can become intrinsic to the Lupe’s brand as it expands into new locations. With a focus on cleanable surfaces, a vivid color pallette, and a simplified floor plan, the project lends itself to efficiency and scalability. It’s the taco shop with an upgrade. It caters to the business lunch crowd, the after-school high school students, the happy hour rendezvous, and the evening dates.
