Scope: Interior Design, Fabrication, Build-Out
The design, both interior and exterior is a balance of San Diego itself, joining the lighter, natural tones of the landscape with the industry and brawn that formed it. The space is designed to reflect aspects of both the city and the Navy. Steel features and dark textures downstairs are a throwback to the industrial era, while the lighter upstairs region provides a more relaxed, calming, and natural aesthetic. A central stair and atrium frame a 20' hanging Eucalyptus tree sculpture that visually connects the two floors. Entry textures are reminiscent of the hulls and maritime activity, and the lower region, with mirrored ceilings and a crackling fire, evoke a gentleman’s den. The upstairs patio includes VIP lounge cabanas with sliding privacy screens and personal minibars, all within striking distance of the over-sized bar with an integrated liquor infusing barrel system.
